oh that’s right, they’re red. and yes, they’re heart-shaped. I know, perfect.
I can’t help it.
Okay, yes I can.
I can totally help it. Because I’m a grown up. I have choices before me every day and my life is–actually isn’t right now, but that’s a whole other post–but generally speaking, life is a collection of all the choices we’ve made converged into Now.
Except when some choices aren’t your own and there you are, divorced.
Wait, what? That’s really not what I meant to talk about tonight. Not at all.
I even uploaded pictures and everything to prove it. Go ahead, look. They aren’t even sad. My friend John would be so proud.
But what I was going to say is that I can’t help it, I’m a sucker for the color red.
And combine that with oversized sunglasses that are heart shaped?
Come. On.
Not to mention they were a gift.
From someone who loves me.
And you didn’t say anything, but well, I touched up my roots tonight too.
Oh, you were getting to that? Sorry. I beat you to the punch. I’m just very competitive like that. I like to win. I was raised in a house where you lived and died, theoretically speaking, by whoever reached 21 first in the game of ping-pong. And I died a lot. Theoretically speaking. But boy, did I love that feeling when I won.
I guess I still like that feeling.
But, I know. I went a little crazy, touching up my hair and then putting on red heart shaped sunglasses.
It’s like I’m a girl or something.
A girl who cares about her appearance, even enough to accessorize.
And you know what conclusion that evidence leads me to? Only that a girl who does things like takes care of her roots and parades around with red heart shaped sunglasses on her face is a girl who wants to live.
And does so with gusto.
That’s nice. It hasn’t always been this way lately, so it’s real real nice.

Wow, John will love the blog shout out. There should be a name for that. Like a blout out.
I like the sunglasses very much, and no I didn’t notice the roots but I’m glad to see the Latshaw pucker in full affect.
And I’d love to say that you never beat me in a game of ping pong, but as we both know that amazing streak ended that one tragic day years ago, and now my complete and total dominance is forever diminished.
There are worse things I suppose.
I lol’ed at a couple of things. the fact that your ping-pong reign ended, namely; much like the White Witch’s reign over Narnia, all evil things must eventually be defeated I suppose.
And yes, at one point John told me that he simply “scanned my blog for his name,” so I figure this will make him REALLY HAPPY.
And yes, the pucker–I can hardly get rid of it! Not after all the years spent perfecting it…and let’s see if our dear Merry says something about it:-)
You know I would just like to say that I’m mildly offended by the fact that Pop, Ollie, and even Christian have made it into your tag cloud, and I have somehow not even managed to beat out such gems such as “thing,” “word,” “hair,” and “lot.”
So next time you miss me, take comfort in your lots-of-word-hair-thing, whatever that is.

I would like to make the disclaimer that I actually DON’T TAG A THING. Jonathan and Christian were making fun of me, saying that I tag the word “the,” but the truth is–something does it for me. I don’t know what, but I do nothing and by the time I hit publish, just about everything is tagged.

LOL Jason on the tag cloud. I used to think Jessica was a tagging maniac and I would never in my wildest dreams be able to tag like she does. Seriously. I write a post and struggle to come up with 2 tags! Jessica never dips below 10 – and often breaks 20! Some of her tag clouds are longer than my actual posts!!
lol. It’s something that Jason installed–some kind of tagging maniac machine that could probably come up with a tag count that exceeds the actual word count of the post, if pressed!
One time one of her posts, which was basically just a photo, must have really thrown the poor eager plugin, because one of her tags was just a snippet of html code! It got desperate!
Christian, you should install it on yours, it takes away all of the pressure of tagging because it’s super exhaustive! It’s called “Auto Tags”
I don’t want to scare you, Jess….but I think it’s the “chicken hand” that is doing the tagging while you’re asleep during the early morning hours. I know, this is monumental. Something else to worry about. Haunted by an evil chicken hand.
