Or so they say. So I guess it’s really good I have this picture of me and Judah to post.

Since I am too tired to write anywhere close to a thousand words tonight.

But it’s a good kind of tired; an I’ve been working kind of tired.

There’s a lot of peace in this kind of tired.

random and BOYS!

Promo shot:
It’s for a show The Paper Janes are scheduled to do at the Queen Theater next month. And we’re excited about it.

And this is just pure love captured on film (except that I used my iphone, which has no film at all).

We look so happy.

We are so happy.

And I just  love that you can see Judah’s fangs.

Vampires are so in.

But what’s even cooler are green eyed, blond haired boys with fangs.

Way cooler.

Here is a list of potentially dangerous things:

  • Visiting your friend who can read you like a book. You simply smile and she asks you what’s going on. You say nothing and she knows it’s not nothing. Your secrets are outed right on your face when you’re with her. Actually, this is a good thing. Actually, it keeps you very honest. Actually, you’re grateful.
  • boys. BOYS. Boys who are not brothers or your pop or your very close friends who are like brothers (who are few and far between). Boys who are attractive. Boys who break your heart. Boys who will break your heart. Boys who have broken your heart. BOYS! are wonderful and terrifying, but more wonderful than terrifying. And very very dangerous.
  • But then again, so are you.
  • late nights.
  • Cause you end up writing the word ‘boys’ about twenty or so times in one paragraph.
  • And you had just finished telling everyone you weren’t gonna think about boys for a good long time.

Starting right NOW.

Today we had a sleep over. All the east-coast little Latshaws came over. And so we had a photo shoot. Naturally. And also? In the past 24 hours I have made a peanut butter cake and a peanut butter pie. At this rate, I will be making peanut butter ice cream by the end of [...]

I have only ever been in two parades. For some of you, this might seem like quite a lot, actually. But considering the amount of times I have performed in front of people, I think that is a rather low number of parades. My first parade was a job. A paying job. But in hindsight, [...]

For the past 24 hours, the man of the hour has been this little guy. Judah. He was born when I was in God only knows what state, four years ago today. I was touring at the time and while my sister-in-law, Rebekah, was having him–I mean, literally in labor–another sister-in-law, Darby, called me up [...]

Because I am tired, I will be giving you a post in cliff’s notes. Goodness, it’s Saturday, anyway. You probably have tons of better things to do than stay inside, in front of a computer, when the day is beckoning you to go and find out what all the hype about Saturday is anyway. And [...]

Yesterday some of my nieces and one nephew came over and I was inspired to find a sheet, pin it to my parents’ wall, and have an impromptu photo shoot. Well, it wasn’t that impromptu, I guess. I texted my brother about a half hour before he dropped off the kids, telling him to tell [...]

My three-year-old nephew Judah recently tried to order some chicken hands at a restaurant. It took some time before people realized that what he wanted was actually chicken fingers and if you think about it, that’s really no stranger than chicken hands. Considering chickens have neither hands nor fingers. As requested, here is our poor [...]

Today the sun was out in a force that almost rivaled Texas. Almost. So we lined up, like so many ducks in a row, and Drew took an artiste’s picture of us.There is some sad news that Crocs might be going under. Though I did see a high heel, in Crocs-form, which I am sure [...]

Summer time sand. In your hair. On your skin. Under your fingernails as you keep digging in. Might as well admit right now that Drew isn’t the only young man in my life. Might as well give you photographic proof. Cause here they are, Ollie, Eli, and Judah, managing to look cool despite holding their hands [...]
